Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary soon to be Kumbhalgarh Tiger Reserve will be the Fifth Tiger Reserve of the Rajasthan the Reserve is said to be located in four districts Udaipur,Pali Sirohi and Rajsamand.
The Khumbalgarh wildlife Sanctury is located in Rajsamand district is located around Kumbhalgarh fortress and covers an area of 610.528 square km,The sanctuary runs along the Aravalli range covering parts of Rajsamand,Pali and Udaipur districts ranging from 500 to 1300 meters and 1600 to 4300 ft in elevation and has abundance of Indian Leopards,Sloth bear,Striped Hyena,Golden Jackal,Jungle Cat,Sambhar,nilgai,four horned antelope and Indian Hare in which the Leopard is apex predator right now,according to wildlife census Kumbhalgarh is home of 300 to 400 leopards right now and these are found in and around the Kumbhalgarh and in entire Rajsamand district,the birds mostly seen at Kumbhalgarh is grey jungle fowl. The Khumbalgarh wildlife sanctuary covers four hills and mountain ranges of Aravali.
